 A few from today

Oakham

 My god;  some stuff from the street and some stuff not from the street. 

In no particular order.

reflected sunlight

 Like quite a lot of the last few posts. Nothing to do with the street at all.

But, this transient bit of lighting just caught my eye.

The sun was at the front of the house, which was then reflected off a neighbours window at the back of the house, through the patio door at the back of my house.

Not there for long as the sun moves etc etc, and I did not catch it, at it's best, but hey ho.

2x2 at Tilton

 Continuing to shoot exclusively in raw. I am now processing at home. But not looking at spending any more than 5 mins tweaking. 2x2 MR2 shot on a Q2. As the sun was out thought I would slap on a polarizer for good measure.

Raw processing is all very new to me. And as much as I like what can be done, I sense I need to tone things down a little. Clearly the detail is there, because it is being processed. But it might be that the sensors can see better than the MK1 eyeball. So when edited it can look false. Early days.

Today's offering.

Leica Q2

 It was inevitable, that at some point, I would acquire a Leica Q2. So through a mixture of selling some stuff and gifted money , I now find myself in that position. What a piece of kit. Simples on every level.

Having customized what I can, I now find myself slowly un-picking that. I am moving towards the factory settings. What I had customized, I now find I can do from the basic menu.  So so simple.

With a nod to Sean Tucker, I now understand the the exposure triangle. With that in mind the Q2 becomes even quicker to operate. 

Not had it long , but dialing into now. Becoming second nature.

What I have now found, after watching an informative U Tube vid.  Shooting in RAW really does open up the options. I have never been one for post processing. Hence my, no fiddling about mantra. But, and it is a big but. Shooting raw vs jpeg, gives a whole new world of options. As such, I am now trying to shoot exclusively in raw and make the tweaks required. So the no fiddling about, will have to go on ice.

Which means all the images below have to some degree been tweaked.
