Nice shot. I loved the Lupo. I owned a Lupo Sport for 8 years. The bright green one with the single pipe at tha back. (Not 1.6 GTI but a 1.4) Still quick and very fun to drive.
I do miss the old Lupo though. They never really replaced it. That Fox thing was a joke.
Mine was 1.4 petrol. 106bhp compared to the 125bhp of the mighty GTI. I loved that little green Lupo. It really was a pocket rocket. Then I got a family, and poor Lupo had to make way for a Toyota Verso (zzzzz)
Coming back to me now. Yes there was a sport, just remembering the TDI version not being too shabby either. Where you ever a member of clublupo? http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?act=home
I never got that involved (forum-wise), but I did pop along to a display of various Lupos about 5 years ago. There were some nice originals together with some rather impressive modified examples.
To be honest, I hardly ever saw other Lupos on the road, while I drove mine. They were always quite rare (even the normal shoppers). I think I saw about 4 GTIs in 8 years. But just lately, as the second hand prices have become very affordable, I see them constantly. Quite a few GTIs on a regular basis.

Could not agree more. Fox! what where they thinking? From memory, was the sport a diesel? Very easy to underestimate those.
